Do you have a Scentsy Bar that just doesn’t seem to last as long as it should? This is an issue that many people face with their Scentsy bars. One of the most common questions we get from our customers is, “How long does a scentsy wax last?” In this article, we will be discussing how long a Scentsy bar can last and some tips on how to make them last longer!
So How Long Do Scentsy Wax Last?
Depending on the strength of the fragrance, a Scentsy wax bar will last somewhere between 50 and 60 hours.
Some people make a common mistake when using their Scentsy bars is rotating them too often between warmers. When you rotate your scents frequently, they do not emit as strong of scent because it does not have enough time to evaporate into the air before being used again. This means that while rotating might smell good at first, it starts to weaken out after a while! Try giving each warmer 48-72 hours every week versus only 24-48 hours for stronger results throughout its life span if possible! If this isn’t an option for you, then we still recommend rotating your Scentsy bars at least every other day to keep the scent as consistent as possible.
Another thing that you can do is try and place them in a warmer away from heating vents or open windows where drafts might affect their life span. It is also important not to pack too many scented items into one room, particularly if they are on top of each other, because it will just reduce how much fragrance gets dispersed into the air! A good rule of thumb for using all of these tips together would be that if more than two people use an area, the amount put out by a single bar won’t be enough, so it may need additional wax melts added throughout its lifespan.
How to Make Your Scented Wax Last Longer?
Pour the wax into a smaller container and then place that into your warmer. This will reduce how much wax is in contact with the heat source at any one time, resulting in a slower loss of fragrance.
Do not add water to extend the life of wax! Wax doesn’t dry out when it’s melted, so adding water won’t have an effect on extending its lifespan – but you should avoid spilling scented liquid near your Scentsy Warmer as it can damage or destroy them if spilled inside or outside of a tray.
Use a timer to turn the Warmer off after a certain amount of time has passed. If you do not, your Scentsy Bar will continue to melt and release fragrance – which may be wasteful or cause damage if left on for too long.
Turn a Scentsy warmer off when you are cooking or using a lot of heat. Heat may damage wax or melt your Scentsy warmer tray – which will result in spilled melted wax!
Use the same fragrance at different times during the day. If you use one scent all day, the strength of its smell will likely fade away before nighttime when most people are home and enjoying their rooms. Instead, rotate between different fragrances throughout the day so they can each have an opportunity to ensure everyone who enters your room enjoys them fully without being overwhelmed by too much of one particular aroma for too long!
FAQ
When should you throw out Scentsy wax?
Week after week, the smell fades, and it’s time to empty out the wax for a new aroma.
Do wax melts lose their scent if not used?
Wax melts are warmed in a warmer and melted, releasing the wax and filling your house with fragrance. Unlike candles, the wax does not evaporate; only the scent fades away. You may either reuse your used wax or start a new one once you can no longer smell it.
What do you do with old Scentsy wax?
Just make new Scentsy wax melts with old ones! First, collect discarded wax melts from your wax melter when the scent has passed. You’ll need to melt the wax (see The Melting Method above) once you’ve gathered a sufficient quantity of it. Then, add a few drops of your favorite fragrant oils.
Can you leave Scentsy warmers on all the time?
You may leave it on as long as you like.
